Batch Renaming of Layers

If you want to change a group of Layer Names at one time, the 'RENAME' command may solve your problem...

In our example, we want to rename all of our Survey Layers to include the Prefix 'EX_'

To do this, follow the steps below;
- Open the Survey drawing and 'Purge' to remove any unused layers
- Type 'RENAME' at the command prompt
- Select Layers from the list of 'Named Objects' on the left of the dialog box
- 'Shift+Select' all of the layers that you wish to change the name of
- In the 'Rename To:' box enter 'EX_*' and press 'OK'

All of the layers selected will now have a Prefix of 'EX_'
