Adding a Custom Property Field for Point Tables... (User-Defined Property Classifications for Points)

There may be times where you want to provide additional information for Points over and above the fields already existing within Civil 3D. This can be achieved by using the User-Defined Property Classifications and can be accessed through the Point Settings Tab in the Toolspace.
I would like to acknowledge Shane O'Rorke from CSS for showing me this feature of Civil 3D.

In this example, I will create a User-Defined Property Classification for Survey Setout Offset Pegs...

First 'Right-Click' on 'User-Defined Property Classifications' in the Point Settings Tab in the Toolspace, select 'New...' and enter your meaningful Classification Name in the dialog box.

Then 'Right-Click' on your newly created User-Defined Property Classification, in this case 'ONK Setout Offset' in the Point Settings Tab in the Toolspace, select 'New...' and enter the following...
 - Name = The Name you want to appear in the Point Properties dialog boxes etc.
 - Description = Meaningful Description if required.
 - Property field type = String
 - Default Value Field = Ticked

Your newly created User-Defined Property Classification for your Points will now appear in the Point Properties, allowing you to edit as required.

Cheers.
Ross.
