If you find that your Contours won't display, particularly when trying to use contours at a fairly close interval, you may need to check that your 'Level of Detail' setting is not turned on.

Matching Corridor Region Parameters...
At times, you may want to match the Properties of one Corridor Region with another. This may include Assembly, Target or Frequency information. This can be particularly useful if you have lost the information and don't want to spend time manually selecting all of your targets again...!

Using Shift to Select/Deselect Objects doesn't work
If using the Shift key to Select/Deselect Objects for editing is not working for you...
Type MAPIOPTIONS in the Command Line, go to the 'General' Tab and ensure that the 'Shift+Left Click Image Select' option is Unchecked.

VISRETAIN - Retain changes to Xref layers
When working with Xrefs you may find that after a reload or open, any Xref dependent layers that you have turned off or frozen have turned back on again... This is controlled by the VISRETAIN system variable.

Multiple Sheet PDF Publishing - Omit Layer Information
When Publishing Multiple Sheet PDF Sets, simply selecting 'Dont Include' in the 'Layer information' section of the 'Publish Options...' will not work. This is a known issue since at least 2010 and is still not working correctly in 2014.

Adding a Custom Property Field for Point Tables... (User-Defined Property Classifications for Points)
There may be times where you want to provide additional information for Points over and above the fields already existing within Civil 3D. This can be achieved by using the User-Defined Property Classifications and can be accessed through the Point Settings Tab in the Toolspace.

Testing testing 1,2,3...
My first blog post...
Just thought I'd give this a go to see whether I can create a collection of Civil 3D related Hints, Tips, Commands and of course, Workarounds!
Until now I have had no central location to store these tidbits of information. If things go well, this blog will serve as a place for our design staff to access and use the information they need to perform their roles more efficiently and maybe learn a thing or two along the way...
